That Tiny Baby

This post was inevitable, but is still so surreal that my tiny little baby is a year old. She is an actual number. When people ask how old she is, I won't say months anymore (who am I kidding... ;) ), I will say she is one.

THIS tiny baby, who we didn't know wouldn't ever even get to wear these shoes... We had no idea what being parents was like then, we just knew that we were so excited to meet that little bundle of joy.

THIS tiny baby that made that sweet little pouty lip. She still makes that exact face today, it's just a little louder ;)

THIS tiny baby that stole our hearts the first time she wrapped her little finger around ours... We didn't know we could ever love something that much.

THIS tiny baby who didn't know how to put her binky in right. She has figured it out since then :)

THIS tiny baby whose entire head fit in the palm of my hand. And who has always had the squishy-est of cheeks.

THIS tiny baby that gave the sweetest kisses from the day she was born.

THIS tiny baby who has loved sleeping sprawled out since birth. That blanket next to her is folded in 4...

THIS tiny baby who has always been a master at the kissy face.

THIS tiny baby who made our family pictures into a three person event!

THIS little baby. 

She can walk

 tries to talk

has enough hair to put in a pony

can mimic sounds

can play with toys
loves reading books to herself and with mom

that dances whenever she hears music, 

that eats ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING 

barely fits on my lap

wears size 2 shoes
decided she could handle cutting 3 teeth at once the week before her birthday
weighs 18.6 lbs
is completely off bottles

knows how to put puppets on her fingers

sits in a forward facing car seat

eats kid's meals at Chic fil A

pushes toy babies around in strollers

tries to put on her own clothes

knows how to play catch

could spend hours in the pool

chases the dogs around

brushes her own teeth

and combs her own hair.

That little baby......is ONE.

Happy Birthday Little Princess!!

Cake in the Nose :)

I love all of the cake smash photo shoots people do and think they are SO CUTE! I decided that I wanted to do one for Brynlee's first birthday. The drama started when I couldn't find an outfit that was less than $25 so I decided to make one. Let's just say, I had to fight the universe to make this outfit happen. Nothing was going right, I couldn't work the machines, and my grandma was out of town so I was totally on my own. I finally did it though! And it turned out just how I wanted it to.

I went over to Amy's house and we spent the morning decorating the cupcake, making banners, and trying to keep Brynlee clean. Once she was up from her nap and everything was ready, the fun began!

First we took some pictures in the cute outfit I made! She didn't sit still very well, but her personality sure shined through!

 

We made banners and a tasty cupcake :)

And the fun began!!

 

 She was not shy about eating the cake or getting her hands/face a little dirty!! It was a dark chocolate fudge cake with yummy buttercream frosting. She love, love, LOVED that cake.

 

 

 

 

 

 

We even got her to do #1! She's so smart! :)

 
She had cake up her NOSE! Even after her bath, she was having cake boogers :)

 

 This baby is almost ONE!! And I love her :)
