I'm a Working Mom

I got a job!! It's a work from home, 30 hours a week, sit on the computer job! It's perfect for me. I can stay home with Brynlee and still help with the income! Here is a look at my working life so far.

I have to have two monitors to do this job so my desk is a little bit crowded, but it's not too bad. It would be better if the tower was underneath but Brynlee kept pushing the button and turning it off. Up it went!

Brynlee spends a lot of time on my lap. She has pretty much put herself on a one nap a day schedule so I try and hold her off until 12:30 since that is when I start work. She sleeps until about 3 or a little later most of the time and then she is either on my lap, at my feet, or causing trouble somewhere until I'm done at 6. I'm glad it is this way though because then it is only 3 hours where I'm working while she is awake verses the whole 6.

I have had so many computer problems already and have spent hours with the company support team remoted onto my computer. Luckily I have some family that works in that department so I can get help after hours or I would be in trouble! It has been working good since we got better internet, though, so that is a huge relief!

It's not the easiest thing in the world, and it's hard to work all afternoon and then still have the energy to cook dinner, clean up, and entertain Brynlee until bedtime, but it is a huge blessing and I'm so grateful. Hopefully I can get into a routine of being able to keep my house in order and work at the same time.
Here's hoping!

Go There.
So. Stinking. Fun.

We went because it's on our pogo passes, not quite sure what to expect. We were there for over 2 hours and still didn't even get around to everything. There is a whole kid play area we didn't even hardly look at. I am taking some friends with me again next week to do the rest of the activities we missed. Brynlee had fun, I had fun, and Spencer had a blast! I think we might go together one night as a date night with just the two of us! I'm not joking. That's how fun it was. It's only $8 per person for the whole time you are there and you bring home at least 10 crafts. Completely worth it.
I'm also very irritated because my phone was taking crappy pictures.

They have this cute area where you grab your bags, dress up warm, and head through airport security. I could not get enough of Brynlee pulling this little suitcase around. And that scarf?? She's ready to roll!

I will start off by saying I have no idea who this girl is! But it just shows Brynlee's personality. She hugs any little kid she sees. I love it.

You make masks! I decided to just leave the eye holes out and made it more of a toy. Brynlee just likes to peel off the pipe cleaner swirls. How dare she ruin my hard work?? ;)

They have a giant bean bag where you can sit and read books about traveling. They also have a flight simulator!

They have a room where kids dress up like they are on a safari, grab a pair of binoculars, and go look for animals painted on the walls. I'm pretty sure this is as close as I will allow Brynlee to get to a snake that size!

They have a blacklight camping room with glow in the dark fishing, a fake fire, tents, picnic tables, dishes, and more! Brynlee liked that room even though I wasn't sure she would.

They have a cool DJ booth where you play the sounds by moving your hands in front of the lasers. Spencer died and went to heaven!
Brynlee mostly just danced :)

There are even more fun things to do, but these are just what I got pictures of.
For real.
Go there.

Brain Barf

This is what I get.
I have neglected my blogging so now you all get one of those posts.
Oh well!
This is pretty much the past month in pictures :)

Brynlee really likes to watch TV (no judging!) and it's so funny because she always watches it on that couch with her arm up. Then she slooooooowly makes her way to right up in front of the screen. Silly girl. She also likes to watch dad play games. Great.

She loves this little radio. It only has one button, but she carries it around all over the place. I would also like to note her grin in the second picture. This is pretty much the usual these days. I love the way her tiny nose crinkles up when she smiles. It seriously is one of my very favorite things to see.

This doesn't happen much anymore, but if she's really tired she falls asleep in my arms. It's crazy to look back at pictures of her as a tiny newborn and how her whole body could be easily lifted in one arm. NOW? I can barely even hold her with one arm at all. Yay for laps :)

We ate at Olive Garden and she kept doing this. Pretty soon she was doing it on command but I could never get a perfect picture. Darn it!

My favorite thing is going on walks in the sprinkling rain. It cools it off just enough to make a walk feel nice. I have to drag Spencer along sometimes, and I know it's not his favorite...but I love our walks to the mailbox as a family. :)

We found a mini splash pad in Power Ranch and we took Tatum and Brynlee there to play. So cute. And I just can't get enough of that bum...

We went and visited dad at work one day for about an hour and he taught Brynlee how to use headphones. She was cracking us up! She would put them in and then pull them out to dance! She didn't really like them in her ears, but she kept putting them in anyways haha.

Everything about this picture I love. Nothing like a sleeping beauty to melt your heart. My next sewing project is something to keep her head up when she sleeps! :)

Ok. This was the funniest night. That microphone actually works and she was going nuts playing the piano and singing into the microphone. We were are laughing so hard we were crying by the end. She sure keeps us entertained!

I hate this picture of myself. It's the worst angle with no makeup and crazy hair. But I want to document that I was actually there in Brynlee's life, not just the person behind the camera. And I think she kinda likes me :)

Brynlee makes the funniest/cutest faces. I love watching her personality shine through!

And what is a shopping trip without a quick nap in the cart??

She LOVES watching the rain. I opened the door and she sat there like the picture on the left, completely still, for at least 5 minutes... a girl after my own heart!

And what is a rainstorm without a few mommy/daughter silly-faced selfies??

I try really hard to hold her off until 12:30 for her nap...but sometimes it doesn't work out that way...

This is one of her little quirks that I want to remember. She always has to have her right leg out. Whether we are in the car (above), in a shopping cart (she always sits sideways), or even in a high chair at a restaurant, she ALWAYS fights her right leg out. Not sure why. Maybe she is more like me than we thought!

I apologize for my daughter's bad choice in fingers to chew on, but this is how she is almost constantly. Since her front tooth has started growing/ is grown in I think she can bite her nail. Anyways, Brynlee has gotten into this phase of wanting to put clothes on all the time. She will carry my clothes around the house, put them over her head (as she is in these pictures), or puts her own clothes on her head. So cute. And so funny. She is freaking smart!

We had a fun day out at the mall with Grandma! We went to Sears, tried out some exercise equipment, and then had lunch at Wetzel's Pretzels before we headed home. I'm so glad that I am so close to my grandma and that Brynlee and Spencer are too :)

Brynlee's first DumDum. She kinda liked it :)

One of the ways we keep Brynlee up in the car if we are coming home from somewhere at night is to give her books. She LOVES books. Every day when she gets up from her nap she points to her books and goes and sits and reads them all by herself. Looks like we have a reader!

I found this play kitchen at Savers for $7. I couldn't pass it up! We brought it home, cleaned it up, and it is one of her favorite things to do. She carries that blue box with all of her play food in it around the house non-stop. It's really messy, but I don't really mind. It is also cool because it can get smaller. The second picture has it pushed down where the first picture is it at full size.
We also rearranged her room. I love her little play area!

I think it's a good thing I went in when I did because daddy was out cold and Brynlee was sitting there wide awake! Glad she didn't decide to move before I got there! :)

Remember when I said Brynlee likes to read books? Well, Tatum likes to read them TO her! They sat there for at least 20 minutes just reading book after book after book. Brynlee could not get enough. So glad these two will grow up like sisters :)

Brynlee and I went on a walk the other day (again, it was sprinkling!) to try and get all of her wiggles out before her nap. She did not want to stay on the sidewalk and she did not want me to hold her hand. She would play outside forever if I would let her. Every time we say let's go, she runs to the door and stands there yelling "Doooooooooo" until we either pick her up or take her outside. As soon as it cools down, we will be spending much more time outside.

We went to Target to get me a new computer chair and we looked at chairs for Brynlee. I am going to get her a little chair for the living room for Christmas. She was so funny. I set her in this chair and she immediately leaned back and said "ahhhhh" haha! She sure knows how to relax :) We found a really cute one I think we are going to get....stay tuned!

Today at lunch we were teaching Brynlee how to color. It was so funny! She would lean her head to the side, get really close to the paper, and just smile so big! I think she is getting the hang of it :)

Well, those pictures are from today! We are all caught up :) If you made it through, give yourself a pat on the back! You're a trooper.
