I decided that it would be a good idea for the two of us to have a blog. I know that there are a lot of people out there that want to know what's going on and I also know that life is crazy and it's almost impossible to tell every single person everything that's happening! That is when I decided, It's time for a blog. :)
Let's start with the wedding day. It was such an awesome day! We had so much fun and got to see so many people that we love and that love us! We got up about 6:00. (Normally I would say that was SO early but since I wasn't really sleeping anyways, I was really excited for my alarm to go off!) I got all ready and my mom and I made our way to the temple. As soon as we got there, Spencer pulled up right at the same time and he and I got to walk into the temple together. We got dressed and then realized we were there a half an hour early! The temple people were really happy with us, apparently they like being ahead of schedule! Since we were early, Spencer and I had about 20 minutes to just sit together. It was so wonderful and peaceful in the temple and we were just able to enjoy each others company and have a little bit of down time before the craziness of the day began. We saw all of our family walking in and it started to hit us that this was actually happening! The sealing was beautiful and we felt so blessed to have so many people there supporting us. Once we left the temple, we headed to Mi Amigos for our luncheon. There we were greeted by even MORE family and friends! We ate to our heart's content! I wish I had the video, and I will have to get it from my uncle John, but Spencer and I butt heads REALLY hard and John got it on video. It's definitely worth watching. After the luncheon we headed back to our apartment to take a little snooze. We were already soooo tired and it was only like 2:00!! We got a nap in and headed back to the church about 4:45 for the ring ceremony and the reception. We arrived just in time and got all fixed up. The night was full of hugs, smiles, and lots and lots of chit chat! We had so much fun, but by the end, we were both ready to go home and SLEEP! At about 8:45 we decided it was time to go. I got back in my dress, Spencer got a few last minute snacks...funny boy....and we headed out! We ran out through the ribbon tunnel (oh by the way, remember for future reference that shoving ribbons IN the couple's face is NOT the best goodbye present. Keep them HIGH!) We got to the car and saw it had been decorated! (I'm only going to be a brat about this because I JUST had it cleaned the day before....like COMPLETELY cleaned. Vacuumed, wiped down, windows spotless....everything.) We get in the car and it is totally steamy because we live in the great old state of Arizona. The wonderful friends we have decided it would be really cool to put all of the gold glitter IN THE AIR CONDITIONING VENTS. So much to
We had a hard time waking up the next morning. We were supposed to wake up at 5:00 so that we could pack and be ready to go when my dad picked us up to take us to the airport. Well, we woke up to a text from my dad saying..."I'm here". Grrrrrreat. We packed SO FAST! I was really afraid I had forgotten something, but we made it out the door and to the airport in time to make our flight without any rush. It was such a crazy couple of days! I will do another post about the honeymoon, but right now, I just want to say a couple of things about my wonderful husband. Spencer is my best and truest friend. He loves me so much no matter what happens, how crazy I get, or how much I make him take out the garbage ;). We have the most amazing love between us and I am so happy that I found him and that we have been able to start our lives together! He makes me feel the way every girl deserves to feel, and I am so grateful for him. Our story is just beginning, but I'm excited to see what happens. We are just opening up the cover of our life story!
I am SO HAPPY FOR THE "HON'S"! Thank you for sharing your "very special beginning of eternity" day in writing, since I physically was unable to attend even one minute of it. However, it felt I was there in Spirit, as happens so much of my life now. Much LOVE to you both. You will continue in my prayers and my heart. I am anxious to read as your life together unfolds...
