Another little DIY!

I have loved being able to explore my crafty side! I saw somebody asking for ways to do a quiet book and started doing my research. I found this cute blog that gives ideas and templates and I decided to use some and make me one! I have made quite a few pages and it took me about 6 hours!
So far, my supply list includes:
felt
Velcro
hot glue
scissors
paper (there are different printable patterns but one girl's don't link so I had to copy them and enlarge them in word. They still worked great!

Here are some cute pages I made! I have more that I want to make but it will require some shopping (I didn't have the right colors of felt!) This book looks like it is going to last me a while and Brynlee loves it! So glad I can do these kinds of things! Also, a big thanks to my amazing Grandma who let's me use her hoarded stuff.
These flowers button on! I also put the rickrack on so that there are some other textures. This is for Brynlee's older book I am making. She can't quite button things yet.

I'm waiting to finish this page because I need some Velcro. It's supposed to be cookie dough, cookies and a pan/plates. The spatula has a Popsicle stick in it to make it firm. You either match the shapes or the colors :)

This one was fun! There is a little "garage" for the toy car. It can drive on the road!

This is the farm and pasture page! I love how the barn turned out. It is Brynlee's favorite page too!

I made little finger puppets for the farm. They are held in a little pocket in the barn or they can play on the grass!!
Brynlee couldn't really play with the car one yet or the cookies so I made her pages that are feeling (different kinds of ribbons) and colors (different kinds of fabric). She doesn't love it, but it's cute!

So I love this little lion page. Grandma helped me sew the mouth and around his head but the mane is made of different kinds of ribbons and lace! It's such a cute little feeling page!

SHE LOVES IT! It kept her quiet during dinner too! Yay for crafts!

The Only Cool Selfies

Ones with babies in them :)

Summer is here!

I took Brynlee swimming for the first time on Friday! I have been so excited to get her in the pool and to see how she does in the water. She loves the bath, she is a kicker by nature, so I was sure she would love it. Well...I was right!! She had SO. MUCH. FUN. I put her on the ground in the zero depth area and she splashed around quite a bit, but she was more interested in crawling out of the water. When she was making that her goal, I took her into the deeper part and let her actually "swim". She was screaming, and laughing, and splashing, and seriously having the best time! We were probably in there for 40 minutes too! Crazy. We will definitely be spending a lot of time in the pool this summer! I think I am even going to put her in swimming lessons. Since we live by a pool right now, I would like her to at least be comfortable in the water and figure out how to hold onto the edge, float, and other simple but crucial things.

This was right when I changed her into her suit. Holy cuteness.

Exploring the water!
The sunscreen in her hair made it fun to play with! My little mohawk girl!

The Aquarium

On our pogo passes you get in free the the Sealife Aquarium twice for free! Whitley had another day off so her, grandma, Brynlee, and I went to see some fish! I was a little bit skeptical at how fun it would be since I'm big, but it was free so what the heck! It was actually so fun. Well...not really! But watching Brynlee love every second of it was so fun! I think we are going to wait and go again when she is a little bit older and can walk haha.

She started off really liking to stand up and look at the fish, but after this tank, she refused to just stand by herself and look. She wouldn't even look in the direction of the fish unless someone was holding her...little weirdo...
She looks so big standing there! It's like she can already walk! It must be the shoes...I was dying at how cute she looked in them...definitely will bet getting all of the use out of those that we can!
This crazy fish room had a little dome you could go in to look at the fish from the inside. Brynlee thought it was cool haha! That room by far was the coolest looking. The fish just swam around in circles!
There was a little circle that I could set her in by the tank so she loved sitting there and looking at all of the fish. She just kept clapping and smacking the glass!
This was the biggest tank. It's like the entire size of the aquarium! Well, maybe not that big. but it was huge.
Aunt Whitley took a turn holding her and showing her the turtles She was not giving out smiles very easily, but at least she wasn't screaming!

There was a big turtle egg showing how big eggs of dinosaurs or something were (Shows how many walls I read!) and so Whitley was under there holding Brynlee up for us to get pictures! She came up saying, "Man! She's heavy!"
This part was so cool. It was a glass tunnel that you walk through in the middle of one of the tanks! She loved crawling down on it and looking at the stuff all around her. There were sharks and sting rays swimming around underneath us!
I don't know why I was so far bent over...I just look super awkward, but hey! Why not document that :) Also, why the heck do they put tags on headbands? That just looks goofy!
There were a lot of these tanks that you could go stand, sort of, inside of and it was cool to get pictures of Brynlee and the fish. I think this was one of her favorite ones to look at because they were swimming so fast! She just kept pointing at them and staring!
